Dhadak is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language sentiment movie composed and coordinated by Shashank Khaitan and together created by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the Dharma Productions standard with Zee Studios as a support maker. A change of the 2016 Marathi language film Sairat by Nagraj Manjule, likewise created by Zee Studios, the film stars Ishaan Khatter and debutant Janhvi Kapoor, with Ashutosh Rana, Ankit Bisht, Shridhar Watsar, Kshitij Kumar and Aishwarya Narkar in supporting jobs.

Karan Johar had declared the development of Dhadak in November 2017 which denoted the screen presentation of Janhvi Kapoor, girl of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. Head photography and it started in December 2017 while it was finished in April 2018. The soundtrack was made by Ajay-Atul with verses composed by Amitabh Bhattacharya and foundation score formed by John Stewart Eduri. The film was conveyed universally by Zee Studios.

Dhadak, which was initially planned to deliver on 6 July 2018, was delayed and had its overall dramatic delivery on 20 July 2018. It got negative surveys from film pundits for disregarding the subject of position based segregation, which was available in Sairat, and for being an unfortunate redo of the first, despite the fact that Khatter's exhibitions was commended. Dhadak arose as a business achievement, earning over ₹110.11 crore (US$14 million) around the world.
